The Old Riverton Store· 7109 KS-66, Riverton· A historical marker on Route 66. The sandwiches are fresh & made-to-order. It's a fun place to stop in, especially if you are a Route 66 buff.
Sweet Creek Diner & Bakery· 300 W 7th St, Galena· A quintessential small town American diner that serves comfort food favorites for both breakfast & lunch.
Red Onion Expressoria· 1619 Rte 66, Galena· Right outside of Galena going towards Joplin. It has a great versatile menu i.e sandwiches, salads and pasta. (Kind of like a McAlister's, but locally-owned with specialty items). Breakfast is also available. Closed on Sundays.

The Bruncheonette·424 N Main St, Joplin, MO ·A great brunch spot on North Main in Joplin. Super creative & authentic menu. Last time I was there, I ordered their Pulled Pork Pancakes. So good! *Tip: Go early! Seating is limited, and there is usually a line. They open at 9:00 am.
Woody's Woodfire Pizza·831 W. 7th St, Joplin, MO ·A pizzaria & bar on Missouri Route 66 that looks like a hole in the wall, but has great pizza! Was featured on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. We like "The Mutha" and "The Greek." Good selection of craft beers, as well.
